One of the reasons I started working in real estate was because I wanted to help people bring their dreams home. I love helping other people find safe, comfortable places to live.
But this idea of serving my community extends far beyond my career of helping people achieve their real estate goals. I also enjoy volunteering my time for causes I believe in – like the Waukesha Rotary Club.
Service Above Self – The Rotary Club Way
One of the things that drew me to the Rotary Club was their message of Service Above Self. I truly enjoy putting my community above myself and knew that the Rotary Club was the place for me to do that.
For over 100 years, Rotary Club International has been helping people like me make a difference in our local and global communities. The global connection of Rotary International is another thing I love about volunteering for this cause.
The Waukesha chapter is just one of over 46,000 clubs in 220 different countries. Isn’t that incredible? That’s over 1.4 million members working to improve our communities. It’s so wonderful to know that so many people in this world have the same Service Above Self mentality that I do!
Our Local Waukesha Chapter
Our local chapter is full of incredible community members who are working hard to make the Waukesha community the best it could possibly be. From Realtors like me to Assistant District Attorneys and small business owners, our diverse group of service-minded people remind me each and every day how lucky I am to be raising my family here.
Through fundraising efforts and community service projects, we help organizations in our local community make a difference.
Most recently, we have helped the Girl Scouts of Southeast Wisconsin refurbish their amphitheater area and are working to update the Discovery Trail at Retzer Nature Center. We also support community programs like the BSA Potawatomi Area Council, the Elmbrook Senior Taxi, Family Promise, the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Performing Arts, the Waukesha Public Library, and more!
Join Us to Help Improve Our Community
One of the best things about Rotary is that we always greet new members with welcome arms! Our group meets every Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Rotary Building in Frame Park to discuss our programs and plan fundraising events.
Each meeting also features a speaker from the community. This month, we will be hearing from the Veteran’s Treatment Court, the WTC Foundation, the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Creative Fining. There is so much cool stuff happening in Waukesha and Rotary meetings are often the first place I hear about it!
If you’re interested in joining us, I welcome you to come be my guest. Reach out to me for more information.
